Are you packing your bags and flying south for spring break? We can’t say that we’re not jealous, but we still want you to have tons of fun on your getaway. If you still need some last-minute essentials to throw in your suitcase, Suburban Square is your one-stop shop.
Here’s what our tenants recommend to make your vacation one for the books.
But first, skincare
If you’re headed for full-blown sunshine, there’s nothing more important than protecting your skin and giving your face the glow it deserves. Our friends at Blue Mercury are skin care experts, and they know how to brighten even the most jetlagged under-eyes.
We caught up with Meghan, district manager at Blue Mercury, who recommends a little shimmer and some SPF.
“Supergoop ShimmerShade SPF 30 is an on-the-go, easy-to-use eye-luminizer in a pot that glides onto eyelids seamlessly without tugging and blends perfectly without creasing, flaking or fading,” she says.
Not only will you have a little extra sparkle, but you’ll also be protected from those extra rays!
Beachy waves for days
It’s no secret that Sephora is every beauty lover’s dream. Once you’ve got your skincare on lock, how about some beachy waves? Desiree, store manager at Sephora, knows a thing or two about what products will make your hair bouncy and beachy.
“Want those undone beach waves, but don’t want to get in the water? Ouai has you covered with their Wave Spray,” says Desiree. “Unlike most products that use sea salt that can strip your color, Ouai uses rice proteins to keep your hair healthy.”
Healthy hair and a touch of volume? Yes please.
A touch of style
Hopefully wherever you’re going is beachy and beautiful—but is last year’s swimsuit looking as fresh as it used to? Don’t sweat it: we know the perfect place for you to grab a new suit or two (because who are we kidding, no one can choose just one).
Head to Everything But Water, a true beachy haven where you can pick up anything from bikinis and sunglasses to sarongs and beach bags. Hit the beach with a brand new look, and find what you need all in one place.
Snacks on snacks on snacks
Let’s be real: airport food is pricey and never really hits the spot. Soggy turkey sandwich? No thanks. Save yourself time, money, and a tummy ache by packing some snacks in your carry-on.
Obviously, the Ardmore Farmers Market is one of our favorite places at Suburban Square to stop for a treat on the go. Our friend Max, manager at Ardmore Produce, suggests keeping it simple: “We have a bunch of nuts and dried fruits that are great for travel. If you’re bringing a cooler bag, cutting up fresh fruit is always a great snack.”
Having snacks on hand can make traveling much easier—trust us. No one likes being hangry!
Packing can be stressful, but that’s where we come in. Making your life a little bit easier is our favorite thing to do. At Suburban Square, your favorite stores are all in one place.
Your Instagram feed is sure to be bumpin’ when you’re posting from your vacay, so having your beauty essentials and some fuel to keep you going is a must! If nothing else, do it for the ‘gram. Safe travels, snowbirds!
