2020 has undoubtedly been a tough year. Throughout all the madness, it’s been so important to take little moments here and there to slow down, take a breath, and practice some self-care.

A great way to do this is to get out in the fresh air and safely enjoy time with those in your household. I’ve found the perfect place to do this is at Suburban Square! Between the numerous eateries, window shopping possibilities, and festive holiday décor, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.

In the spirit of the holidays, I’m sharing five things to be thankful for – all of which can be found right here at the Square!

1.  Viewing the holiday décor

Holiday magic is in the air! Seeing holiday décor instantly cheers me up and Suburban Square is all decked out with a tree and decorations throughout the Square. I like to stroll around on cool mornings, to take it all in and get in the holiday spirit. I’m also looking forward to some socially distanced, holiday events! Later this season, there will be a pop-up holiday event on Dec. 12th and an opportunity to meet Santa on Nov. 28th.

2.  Soaking in the sun

One of my favorite activities is soaking in the sun, whether it’s after some outdoor exercise or just taking some time to sit and relax. There are opportunities for both throughout the Square. I personally love getting some cardio in by walking around and doing some window shopping. After I’m done walking, I pause by the fire pit to relax and warm up before leaving for the day.

3.  Picking up a Yummy Treat

Every trip to Suburban Square includes a yummy treat, whether it’s a handcrafted chocolate from Kilwins, sweet potato fries from HipCityVeg or a Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks! There are seating areas throughout Suburban Square should you want to enjoy your food al fresco, or you can take your purchases to go to enjoy at home.

4.  Making Self-Care a Priority

Every week, I like to make sure I’m taking time for my own health. My favorite self-care routine is a face mask and a manicure. I can stock up on all my beauty needs at Sephora while at Suburban Square.

5.  Safely Enjoying Outdoor Activities

Outdoor activities that I can take part in safely are important to me, and knowing that Suburban Square makes safety a priority puts me at ease. Mask wearing, social distancing, and curbside pickup are just a few precautions in place. I love knowing that I can browse through my favorite shops or enjoy a little window shopping, and even meet up with family or friends for some socially distanced fun while still following health guidelines and keeping others safe.

No two trips to Suburban Square are the same, but every trip is enjoyable! I’m already looking forward to my next visit to enjoy more holiday festivities.
