There will be a new chef in the Ardmore Farmers Market every Saturday in March giving free cooking demos from 11 am until 12 pm. Plus, you’ll get recipe cards to try out the delectable creations for yourself! Let’s meet the talented chefs you’ll be cooking with this season. Aliza Green — March 5th  

Q: Describe your cooking in three words. 

A: Spice, seasonal, and local.

Q: How did you come up with the recipe you are making for your demo?

A: I organized and led four culinary tours to Morocco in the past few years where I learned to make the Chicken Tajín from a talented woman Moroccan chef.

Pat Nogar — March 12th 

Q: Describe your cooking in three words. 

A: Fun, delicious, and memorable.

Q: How did you come up with the recipe you are making for your demo?

A: The recipe reflects my recent interest in cooking more with savory ingredients and vegetables.  I was over-indulging with sweets during lockdown, so I became determined to eat healthier. This recipe hits all the right notes – creamy, savory, and full of veggies! 

 

Jessica DeLuise, PA-C, CCMS — March 19th 

Q: Describe your cooking in three words. 

A: Purposeful, satisfying, and wholesome.

Q: How did you come up with the recipe you are making for your demo?

A: The recipe is a variation of foods I make at home. Each facet exhibits my favorite kitchen tips and meal prep tactics, from fast and easy assembly to various textures to nostalgic and familiar flavors. People are often overwhelmed when preparing food in the kitchen, so my goal is to share as much practical and straightforward information, so people leave feeling excited and empowered. 

Jasmin Andrews — March 26th 

Q: Describe your cooking in three words. 

A: Passion, love, and soulful.

Q: How did you come up with the recipe you are making for your demo?

A: This Jambalaya highlights the roots of my family background in Louisiana, even though I am from New Jersey. I would make it with my family growing up and now I add my own spin to it.
