Pride Month Celebration at Suburban Square with Solomon Thorne!
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Solomon Thorne grew up in a Gospel and Soul singing family called The Eason Singers. Growing up, he heard singers on the radio and cassette & VHS tapes like Aretha Franklin, The Clark Sisters, The Davis Sisters, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Price, Faith Evans, Marvin Gaye & Sam Cooke and sang along to every song he knew. In listening to the creative stylings of his family and the soul & gospel greats, he developed an ear for music and began pursuing different genres of music. In 2017, Solomon started Songs For The Soul as a way to explore and share his voice and talents with others. Shortly after, he began inviting other local music artists (singers, poets & musicians) to the show to share their art. Then painters. In September of 2019, Solomon hosted the first ever Songs For The Soul Mini Festival #SFTSMiniFest featuring some of Philly’s best soul music artists, art vendors, painters, jewelry makers, and apparel vendors. It was lit!
He will perform with a handful of musicians & singers.
Solomon is an LGBTQ musician & performer.
