What’s better than spending the day shopping at Suburban Square? Munching on delicious Asian cuisine afterwards! Lucky for you, the popular Center City restaurant destination DanDan is opening a location at the Square. We got to speak with Eric Chen, the general manager of the new Ardmore spot, for a sneak peek of what guests can enjoy at the new eatery.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself and how you found yourself in Ardmore.
Eric: My passions have always revolved around food and people. I am a firm believer that the best way for people to learn about each other’s cultures is through food. This is precisely what we want to do with our friends and family in Suburban Square.
Q: What do you think DanDan brings to Ardmore and our visitors?
E: DanDan will bring a variety of succulent traditional Sichuan and Taiwanese cuisine, from the vibrant flavors of Sichuan dry hot pot to savory Taiwanese minced pork rice. We also offer an extensive variety on our elevated beverage menu, custom-made just for our Suburban Square family.
Once our guests walk into our brand-new restaurant, they will definitely find the interior design aesthetically pleasing, including a beautiful modernized bar, a spacious open dining room, and an exquisite private dining room that is made with glass!
Q: Will the DanDan Ardmore location have any unique menu items to look forward to?
E: We are working on a location-specific menu and brunch menu currently! We’re excited to unveil it when we open, so stay tuned.
We’ll be dreaming of the dry hot pot until the new location opens this summer. Eric and the rest of the staff are excited to get to know our Suburban Square family, so stop by and say hello when DanDan opens!
