Meet the Newest Faces Around the Square: Madison Reed, Shake Shack, and Stile by Per Lei

Sunday, March 21, 2021

As spring approaches and the sun begins to shine brighter, Suburban Square is stepping into the season with exciting new tenants! In addition to renovating our courtyard to welcome new outdoor dining experiences with Lola’s Garden and DanDan, we’re also bringing fresh hairstyles, fashion, and food to the Square with Madison Reed Hair Color Bar, Shake Shack, and Stile by Per Lei.

Come by and meet your new neighbors!

Meet Tianna

Q: Tell us a little about yourself and how you found yourself in Ardmore.

I am Tianna, the general manager of the newly opened Madison Reed Hair Color Bar, and we are super excited to be a part of the newly growing Suburban Square. Madison Reed is a company that made its start online… (and) the unfortunate quarantine we all endured gave Madison Reed the opportunity to be seen even more, and with that, we’ve had the opportunity to expand to hair color bars and mini bars.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do on the Square so far?

The Square itself is so beautiful. I’ve found that one of my favorite things to do is just walk around and enjoy the sights and watch other people doing the same…. Not only can you take a day to go shopping, but you can also get a bit of normalcy back by enjoying the salon experience again, which most of us have been missing for so long now.

Q: Do you have any favorite lunch spots yet?

There are so many great spots in the Square, but one gem I found is the Ardmore Farmers Market! I get so happy to go there because they have a little bit of everything from sushi to Italian. I never have to leave the Square when I’m looking for lunch.

Q: What do you think Madison Reed brings to Ardmore and its shoppers?

Anyone can stop in and say hi or come in for a consultation and get our best recommendations for your hair, like our Perfect Pair, a combination of our root touch up and our refreshing gloss to your ends. It gives the most beautiful shine and appearance of a freshly done all-over color.

Q: Any hair care tips for 2021?

A quick tip I’ll give everyone is just staying healthy. From the way we are more careful of living these days, include that in every facet of your life that you can. Luckily Madsion Reed falls right in line with that: no ammonia, no gluten and no parabens! Come check us out; we can’t wait to meet you all!

Meet Karl

Q: Tell us a little about yourself and how you found yourself in Ardmore.

I’m Karl Jones, general manager at Shake Shack. I have been in the hospitality business since birth, working at my family-owned businesses in the Philly suburbs and South Jersey area. I transitioned into full dining and wanted a better quality life. That’s how I found Shake Shack. After running our University City Shack for three years, I was asked to open up our Suburban Square Shack.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do on the Square so far?

My favorite thing is connecting with our guests and passing out our Shackburger dog biscuits to our four-legged friends.

Q: What do you think Shake Shack brings to Ardmore and its shoppers?

Shake Shack brings a great community gathering place delivering amazing hospitality and delicious food.

Q: What’s your favorite combo at Shake Shack?

My guilty pleasure is a Shack Stack, cheese fries with a side of cherry peppers, and a malted vanilla shake.

Q: Are there any secret or strange combos that people should try at Shake Shack?

Order a Shack Stack and sub the patty for a chick’n Shack. You can only order it in person!

Meet Annalisa

Q: Tell us a little about yourself and how you found yourself in Ardmore.

Hi, my name is Annalisa! I am originally from the Chicago suburbs, and just moved to the Philadelphia area last month to manage the newest Stile by Per Lei location. I am very new to the Ardmore area, but have been loving it so far!

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do in the Square so far?

My favorite thing to do in the Square so far is to meet new people and check out the events. There are constant events happening by the Stile location throughout the week, so be sure to pop in and say hi!

Q: What do you think your shop brings to Ardmore and its shoppers?

Stile brings fashionable and affordable style for all ages to Ardmore. There is a misconception that Stile is a store for young girls, but we always have something for everyone! We offer a high-end styling experience without the price tag, which makes Stile unique.

Q: Any favorite lunch spots yet?

I have currently been loving Cava! We didn’t have one in Chicago, and the pita bread wrap has quickly become my go-to.

Q: Any tips to look great even as we continue to social distance?

I believe that you can never be too overdressed, and a pandemic isn’t a reason to stop wearing the clothes you love and feel confident in. Masks have changed our beauty routines, but my tip is to wear a little bit of concealer to brighten your eyes and add some beach waves into your hair for some fun!

We’re thrilled to have Madison Reed, Shake Shack and Stile by Per Lei bringing some flavor and flair to our urban village. As we continue to enjoy the spring weather, stop by Suburban Square to shop, dine, and enjoy our surprise pop-up events!
